System Requirements

Kml Builder may appear very slow and may not operate properly on older hardware configurations.

Your computer must be connected to the Internet before you can launch Kml Builder.
The minimum configuration for your PC is:
- Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
- CPU: Pentium 3, 500Mhz
- System Memory (RAM): 512MB
- Hard Disk: 10MB free space
- Network Speed: 128 Kbits/sec
- Graphics Card: 3D-capable with 16MB of VRAM
- Screen: 1024x768, "16-bit High Color" - DirectX 9
Recommended configuration of your PC is:
- Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
- CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz+ or AMD 2400xp+
- System Memory (RAM): 3GB
- Hard Disk: 10MB free space
- Network Speed: 768 Kbits/sec
- Graphics Card Multi-Monitor: 3D-capable with 256MB of VRAM
- Two Monitors: 1440x900, "32-bit True Color"

- Internet Explorer version 7 or higher (free)
- Microsoft DotNet Framework 4.0 or higher (free)
- Google Earth Plug-in version 6.0.0.1735 or higher (free)
The Kml Builder installer will guide you for the installation of the DotNet Framework and of Google Earth Plug-in if it is needed. To find out if you have the required DotNet Framework installed and Google Earth Plug-in, go to the 'Add/Remove Programs' (or Programs and Features) and look for 'Microsoft .NET Framework' entries in the list of installed software and also look for Google Earth or for Google Earth Plug-in.

The most likely mode of failure is insufficient video RAM:

You may get a warning if the graphics card is not able to support Earth
This often occurs due to insufficient Video RAM or buggy graphics card drivers
The next most likely mode of failure is Internet access speed. Except for the very patient, broadband Internet (Cable, DSL, T1, etc.) is required
